I am Neer Chhajer, I am 25 years old living at Udaipur, India, I am currently pursuing my masters from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS).
I am working with SIDART as a volunteer and have made field visits with team members and committee members to the slums and villages. I got the opportunity to participate in health and nutrition awareness for school children in villages which was a great learning for me. I also helped in organising many health camps in the villages of Sanganer, urban slums and schools and colleges. I have gained knowledge about various problems and obstacles that women face in the society and also the ways to help them in overcoming these problems and obstacles.
I think that the work that SIDART is doing is really valuable. SIDART works on issues around Women Empowerment, Child Road Safety Education, Child Health Care and Development, Maternal Health and Nutrition, Counselling on Infant and Young Child Feeding, Strengthening of Girls and Women at panchayat level, etc. You have a great variety of work and that is what makes every day interesting and exciting. It is an enriching and rewarding experience to work with SIDART and now I would like to continue to contribute for the cause of humanity with SIDART in any possible ways even after my traineeship.
